This is a larger painting based on a small study I did not too long ago. With this version I made a few minor but significant adjustments. I added a bit more ocean, popped in some distant land, and then lastly, in the upper left I tweaked the pines by filling them out.

This is a painting of my friend Drew. He's some sort Terrier mix and that is clearly the part in him that shines. He moves so fast and gets so excited when he's with his pack family it's sometimes too much for even him to handle. In-between these moments of speed he can be the calmest guy around, moving just his eyes, reserving his energy for his next peel out.

"Bantam"

This was my little buddy. I rescued him from the projects of Dorcester. He was pretty rough around the feathers but he loosened up quickly. He and I would dig for worms and weed together. Unfortunately, it was a short lived relationship.........about a week after I had him, a racoon (I think) had his way with him. RIP my feathered friend.
